A set of Phoenix Forged Wheels is a serious investment — and with the right care, they'll look and perform like new for years to come. Here's our complete maintenance guide to keep your wheels in peak condition.
Regular Cleaning
Clean your wheels every 1–2 weeks, or after any exposure to road salt, brake dust, or mud. Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaner and a soft-bristle brush. Avoid harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners — they can damage the finish over time, especially on Brushed Titanium and Polished Chrome.
Cleaning by Finish Type
- Brushed Titanium & Matte Black: Avoid abrasive pads. Use a microfiber cloth and gentle cleaner. Never use wax on matte finishes — it will create unwanted shine.
- Polished Chrome: Polish regularly with a dedicated chrome polish to maintain the mirror finish. Dry immediately after washing to prevent water spots.
- Gloss Bronze: Apply a quality carnauba wax or ceramic coating every 3–6 months to protect the clear coat and maintain depth of color.
Protecting Against Brake Dust
Brake dust is highly corrosive and one of the biggest enemies of wheel finishes. Consider upgrading to low-dust brake pads and apply a wheel sealant after each deep clean to create a protective barrier.
Seasonal Care
In winter months, road salt is extremely damaging. Rinse your wheels thoroughly after every drive in salted conditions. Consider applying a ceramic coating before winter for maximum protection.
Inspection & Torque Check
After the first 50–100km following installation, re-torque your wheel bolts to the manufacturer's specification. Check for any signs of cracking, curb damage, or unusual vibration regularly.
